To a lot of laymen the idea of Big Data and Data Science might seem quite similar. Although, there is a leap of difference while one deals with farming profitable patterns the other one deals with its employment mostly. Big Data has been a relatively new concept and well it gained momentum. This is the reason why a lot of App Development Companies started to enroll in those tactics and techniques to their system. Although, in reality, it employs a whole lot of manual techniques for statistical estimation and generating meaningful data. Well, for me the answer is yes, it does affect and makes the application more profitable for App Development Company. See Big Data does deal with large chunks of data but it also aggregates a whole lot of data into a system which is easily accessible and more importantly has some meaning. Big Data has the capability to show you things based on your behavioural pattern(via machine learning) while on the other hand Data Science is predictive(using the same data but in a different manner).
